Happy Spring Everyone!

School Pictures

I know that Mommy said that pictures of my first haircut were coming (and they are...),  but I wanted to share my second set of school photos first.  Unfortunately this time Mommy couldn't hang out with me long enough to wait in line and get the picture, so my teachers went with me.  As you can tell, I was less than pleased with the concept.

At least they give a good "before" picture for my new look!  Which brings me to...

My first real hircut!

Before
crazy long bangs, sideburns, and a mullet...

After:
A nice and (sort of) neat "do".   Mommy didn't think of putting on a TV show to keep me still until things were mostly finished, so there were a few places that were a little too short because I wiggled at just the wrong time, but all in all it was a great first cut!

Trying to see the Easter Bunny...

Mommy and Daddy wanted to get a picture of me with the Easter Bunny.  I got all dressed up and we all went to the mall for the "big event".  We were really lucky and got there when there wasn't anyone in line!  Since I've taken pictures with the Easter Bunny before, Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a breeze to stop by, get the pics, and go to lunch.  Unfortunately, I decided that I did NOT! like this Bunny...AT ALL!!  To take some time and let me get used to the mall before we tried again, we all went to the food court.  I was so facinated with Mommy's soda that she decided she'd give me some water and let me see what it would be like to be a big boy and have my own "grown up" cup.  Check out my explorations.   :)

I never did get the picture with the Bunny.  When we went back I was kind of OK with the big guy as long as Daddy would stay in front of me and hold my hands.  When he went off to the side to get out of the picture, I very quickly and (sort of) calmly tried to get down from the chair - over and over again.  Oh well, maybe next year!

Celebrating with friends

Two birthday parties in 10 days!  So much excitement.    For my friend Evie's party, we went to the local wildlife preservation.  After playing with dinosaurs (and learning about the woods), we all went for a long walk though the woods to look for fairies.   Unfortunately we didn't get a lot of pictures, but Mommy and Daddy did get a picture of me trying on the "boy" wings...just to see what all the fuss was about.  I also got some great pictures of me and Daddy checking out the playground.

For my friend Genevieve's party we  went to the zoo!  We spent almost all of our time at the playground where I got to play on (well, around) the big kids' stuff.

I really liked the climbing dome I saw all the older boys playing on.  I tried to pull mysef up on it (which didn't work) and thought being inside of it was pretty spiffy.

Daddy also let me swing on the "real" swings!  He never let go, but I still had a great time!

There was a plastic car there that was just my size.  I showed Mommy and Daddy that I've been paying attention to how cars work.  I opened the door all by myself, got in all by myself, closed the door behind me all by myself,  turned the key all by myself (although there aren't any pictures to prove it), and generally had a fantastic time!

After the having a great time at the playground, we were all introduced to a real live tortoise!

Getting to spend the time at a zoo picnic ground was loads of fun.  So much so that I wanted to bring all the decorations home with me.   I'm definitely looking forward to hanging out at the zoo again!

  Easter

Easter was lots of fun for the most part.  I wound up with a nasty cold though, so there wasn't a whole lot of fun time.  I did have a good time playing with my "bunny ball",  and my easter PJs with the bunny feet were really comfy.  To top it all off,  I went on my first Easter Egg Hunt.  All in all, very good times!

That's it for now...  I'm sure there will be lots of good times to share soon!
