Since I turned ONE I've been busy getting on my way to being "big boy"!

To start with, my teachers at Daycare thought it would be fun to reinstate the mohawk, just for old times' sake:
I also tried to enjoy the snow...but unfortunately it was a bit too icy to play in. Mommy was really excited for me to get outside, but I was not quite sure why...
Since I've been getting more mobile, Mommy and Daddy put up gates to keep me penned in.
(although they say it's because they want to keep me safe, I'm not a big fan of them)
I also got to watch lots of football for Superbowl Sunday! OK, I didn't actually get to stay up and watch the game, but we did play ball all afternoon.
There was a second round of snow, but it was only flurries. Mommy and I went to the park to play a little bit outside, then we just played inside and watched the snow fall.
Of course, in DC, the weather is always unpredictable. A week or so after the snow, we had a wonderful Spring-like day. I took the opportunity to go explore the yard.
If you look closely, you can see the squirrel I was watching for a good five minutes straight |
I also helped Daddy with laundry by providing the entertainment :)
However, of all the things I've done in the last 6 weeks, there's one that I'm most proud of.
It started slow...I showed Mommy how much I loved playing with a beach ball at Daycare, so she got me one of my very own. It's just the right size for me - so I started showing off my ability to stand up all by myself!
And the big news - I'm now officially a TODDLER!!!
(P.s., Please excuse my tongue sticking out - I've been also getting some new molars, so I've been teething like crazy.)
Coming up in the next blog post - Before and after pictures of my first haircut! See you soon!
